Jeffrey Bajramovic is a biologist who obtained his PhD for work on the role of a small heat-shock protein in the pathogenesis of multiple sclerosis. He received post-doctoral training at the Pasteur Institute in Paris where he worked on the neurotropic Borna Disease Virus. As a Marie Curie grant recipient, the Reintegration Grant Program facilitated his return to the Netherlands. He started working at the Biomedical Primate Research Centre on the EAE model in rhesus macaques, before starting his own laboratory, focusing on microglia and innate immune responses.
